A netizen expressed his opinion that a tumor was suspected in BLACKPINK Jisoo's neck, but while YG Entertainment explained that there was no health problem, a surgical specialist suggested that an epidermal cyst was suspected.

Epidermal cyst is a symptom of a tumor caused by clogging the oil glands of the epidermis layer. Lee Se-ra, vice chairman of the Korean Surgical Association, expressed his conviction in an interview with the "Medical Channel Biandu" released on November 8 that "the epidermal cyst is suspected with a 99.99% chance if you look at the photos of the index."

He said, "(Jisoo) is likely to be epidermal cyst in terms of age, location, and shape. The index is or is quite convex, but lymphadenitis is thin and not clear. "The epidermal cyst often grows like this," he said.

He advised Jisoo to take a biopsy even if she had no symptoms. He said, "If you feel emaciated or have a fever, you need an immediate examination at a hospital. However, even if there are no such symptoms, if it has been more than two months since the lymph glands were touched in the neck, a biopsy is needed," he said, recommending that he visit a hospital as soon as possible for surgery.
