Girl group New Jeans has set a new K-pop female artist record on the Billboard chart, a U.S. music media. According to the latest chart released by Billboard on the 14th (March 18th), "Hype boy," the debut song of Newgins (Minji, Hani, Daniel, Harin, and Hyein), ranked 101st on the Billboard "Global 200."
This is the 31st consecutive week of ranking on the charted. It is also the longest K-pop female artist in the category. "Hype boy," one of the triple title songs from Newzins' debut album, first entered the Billboard Global 200 at 116th place (as of August 20, 2022) and has been steadily on the chart to date after reaching 52nd place.
The popularity of "Ditto" and "OMG" from Newzins' singles is still underway. It ranked 19th and 38th on the Billboard Global 200 this week, respectively.
